The Toulouse Cross is inspired by the art nouveau style, which swept most of the Western world at the end of the 19th century. Art Nouveau was an avant-garde movement using organic forms that emphasized humanitys connection to nature. Inspiration was drawn from natural elements, plants, animals and elegant landscapes, presented in swirling and rhythmic abstract designs.
