The NC-4 is a flying boat developed by Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company from an A-1 biplane fitted with a central pontoon. It was the first aircraft to fly across the Atlantic Ocean, starting in New York State, with stops in Massachussets, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and the Azores Islands, and reaching as far as Lisbon, Portugal in 19 days. This is a handcrafted mahogany wood model, measuring 10.5 long and 19" wingspan."
