This design is from bottom panel of the free standing Cross at Kildalton, on the island of Islay off the coast of Scotland near Isle of Iona. The flowing set of spirals symbolizes the boundlessness of the human spirit. The ability of a person to get beyond their own self declared boundaries, or those set by history or culture. To move and grow beyond the old stories of who we think we are, through meditation and prayer, was and is a very powerful concept.
