- William Morris Clover Frame
Product Description
William Morris (English, 1834-96), believed that art should find expression in utilitarian objects that could be enjoyed as a part of everyday life. He worked in a wide range of fields and his work dramatically influenced interior decoration. The "Clover" motif on this silver plated picture frame is adapted from one of the forty-nine wallpapers he designed. The original can be seen in one of the Morris & Co. wallpaper sample books in the collection of The Brooklyn Museum. This Museum Frame is plated with an anti-tarnish silver finish.
