Olbia's Treasure Black Onyx Brooch - Greek, ca. 200 B.C., Walters Art Museum
Product Description
The original necklace from "The Olbia Treasure" was found by Russian peasants in 1891 when they discovered an ancient burial tomb chamber near the small town of Olbia, on the Black Sea coast of Ukraine, where there was once a Greek colony. The necklace consisted of several large gems in oval and box settings, semi-precious stones, gold chains, and connectors. Our jewelry is a reproduction of one of the oval set gems.
