This frame is an adaptation of a charming detail from a paper-cut mizrah, (poland, 1877), in the Judaica collection of The Jewish Museum. A mizrah is a decoration for the eastern wall of a home or synagogue indicating the direction of prayer. The whimsical border design depicting animals of fact and fantasy will enhance any treasured photograph.
