Product Description
This picture frame is adapted from the border of an 18th century Italian paper-cut ketubbah in the collection of The Jewish Museum. A ketubbah is a Jewish marriage contract recording the financial obligation of the husband toward his wife. In decorating the ketubbah, the artist embellished the border with birds and animals hidden within an intricate flower and leaf design.
