We had only just picked up the tripod telescope. Staying at the Plaza, we concluded that the little balcony on the corner of the 20th floor was as good a place as any to check it out. The view was Central Park and 5th, which was a blessing because the wife and kids aspired to magnify personal aspects of their 5th Avenue neighbors. In the park we spied several amorous couples, and speculated as to the nature of their conversation. I thought the view preferable to the talk, never having appreciated Romeo and Juliet. My teenage daughter took this personally and retreated to her room. The rest of the family had fun continuing with product research and analysis. Our butler commented on how well the tripod went with the Plaza decor.
