Worship to this great goddess was the impetus for one of the largest and grandest temples in the Ancient World.The Temple at Ephesis in Turkey, was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Followers, admirers and detractors wrote about her in items from the stories of Troy to the Bible, in which she is referred to as the Great Goddess.
